I too first met this product through Disney on a cruise last summer, 2008. I never bring my own shampoo or soap on vacation since I like to try whatever is supplied in the bathrooms. I would say that aside from being prone to knots, my hair is the plain type, shoulder length, medium texture, slightly wavy when it air dries.
When I first tried this product, the first thing that struck me was its scent. If you have ever walked by a spa, this scent will take you back to that place. I don’t need to smell like fruit or a non-descript soap every morning. I have yet to find another shampoo that smells anything like it. As for how it treats my hair, I can say that it does add a little volume and it definitely gets that natural build up of oil out without over drying. About a quarter-sized drop does the trick, no need to glob it on since it lathers nicely.
I am ashamed to admit that I enjoyed it so much I left notes in the room asking the cast members to leave some extra tubes of the shampoo in the bathroom. My mother would even ask cast members in the hallways, who were cleaning up and restocking the rooms of other guests, if she could have a couple tubes “because we just ran out”. Now that my stock is running low I am considering to splurge on this product as something to use for a special day out or a relaxing night in.
